I grew up in New Jersey as an avid reader and the daughter of a literary agent. My mother had her office in our house, and I loved helping her read manuscripts and organize her bookshelves. After attending college in the Ohio cornfields and graduating with a degree in history, I began my career in publishing at The Wendy Weil Agency, where I stayed for eight years until joining Brandt & Hochman in January of 2013. I live in Brooklyn and during my time away from reading, I enjoy cooking and re-watching old episodes of “The Sopranos.”
WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR: I’m on the lookout for fiction ranging from dark, voice-driven literary novels and story collections to upmarket women’s fiction, thrillers, historical fiction (with special interest in the 19th and 20th centuries), narrative non-fiction that includes memoir, journalism, and history, and young adult fiction and non-fiction along similar lines. I’m open to mostly any project with strong writing, an original premise, and a story that immediately grabs me.
